Abstract

This thesis aims to design a lightweight method that can record the provenance of simulation studies by monitoring the modeller in their native work environment, posing as few restrictions as possible. The interaction with the modeller and resulting provenance will then be compared to the provenance recorded based on the artefact-based workflow to gauge its usefulness.
